We've always been told that watching too much television will hurt
your eyes, kill your brain cells, and make you dumber, right? Well, it
seems that some producers have thought to capitalize on this on
occasion, switching out or getting rid of characters on TV shows
without any explanation. But wait! We're not that stupid.

Here are 25 casting fails in TV that they expected us not to notice.
Got you, suckas!

I absolutely fucking HATE this recent web trend, esp. on the so-called
"entertainment" websites, to force you to flip through a 10-20+
webpage 'slide show' just to peruse a list like this.

Honestly, can't we just go back to "text only"?! I swear it was better
than what we've got now... >:/

Especially when you have to click the arrow to advance the slide, then
scroll down to read the text, then scroll back up to click for the
next slide.

And then there's an ad like every 6th image, even though there are ads
at every click!

I just close the page. I refuse to reward that kind of crap with page
hits.

+1

As do I, 9 times out of 10 - I also refuse to reward that.

It didn't seem to work on mine.

I hate them too, and also the new "modal" popup windows. Popup
blockers don't work on them. When I see one, I immediately hit the
back button.

It's too bad, because popup windows are great if they aren't abused.
But of course, they immediately are, by marketing people who use terms
like "call to action" (the hottest new buzz word in web marketing).

I have been learning how to make them, LOL.

I don't think I even recall any of those switches other then Darren on
Bewitched. Basically they are mostly just a bunch of interchangeable
third or less bananas that barely register anyway.

You don't remember when Sarah Chalke replaced Lecy Goranson? It was jarring.
First you had the gorgeous Lecy, then the dreadful beast Chalke comes
onstage. They fought back and forth over the role, with Chalke eventually
taking over completely. It pretty much killed Lecy's career, and now we see
the hideous Chalke everywhere. Still pisses me off.

LECY! COME BACK TO US! WE STILL LOVE YOU!!

This is nonsense. Lecy left to attend Vassar College. You know, to get
an education, what you lack. The producers had two choices, no Becky
(which they did for awhile) or a new Becky. Since the character of
Becky is FICTION (which you don't realize) a new actress was hired. As
in the case of Bewitched, there was no choice. When Lecy was available
she played the part, when she was not and the character was needed,
Sarah played the part. Because the cast believed that the eighth season
of Roseanne would be its last, Lecy had signed back on only for that
season. When the show was renewed for a ninth season, Sarah replaced her
full-time. There was no fighting. To say that Chalke is a dreadful beast
is childish. Lecy's career would have been the same regardless. Just
because you have a crush on Lecy Goranson is no reason to make up stupid
nonsense. Learn the facts.

Maybe the producers realize that many actors can play the same part.
Maybe they KNOW that people are perfectly capable of telling actors
apart. They just KNOW that sometimes there's no choice to replace an
actor.

Maybe it's the people who complain about such nonsense are the idiots
not the producers. No maybe about it.
